The ACCOBAMS (Agreement on the Conservation of Cetaceans in the Black Sea Mediterranean Sea and Contiguous Atlantic Area) is an international agreement for the conservation of cetaceans (dolphins and whales) in the Mediterranean and Black Seas. TUDAV is one of the ACCOBAMS partners although Turkey is not its member state yet. Our advisor on marine biodiversity, Dr. Ayaka Amaha Ozturk, participated the 10th Scientific Committee meeting held in Nice, France, on 20-22 October 2015, as an expert of CIESM. Several recommendations were made for the conservation of cetaceans, which will be discussed at the next meeting of parties in 2016.
