Bozcaada Environmental Problems and Biodiversity Workshop
The Turkish Marine Research Foundation is organizing a workshop on October 6, 2024, in Bozcaada. The workshop will discuss the ecological values ??of Bozcaada from the past to the present, the nature conservation/change process, and, in light of current scientific data, will highlight the increasing pressures on natural resources and propose solutions for the cultural, environmental, social, and economic protection of the island.
The workshop, featuring presentations from participants from diverse disciplines, is expected to publish a book of proceedings. The workshop aims to identify and follow up on actions related to the discussions and proposed solutions, and it is planned to continue in subsequent years with different topics and speakers.
We believe that the meeting will be conducted on a sound, scientifically sound, and up-to-date basis, and that the people of Bozcaada will strive for the change and protection of Bozcaada until the next meeting. We invite all the people of Bozcaada and anyone interested to the workshop, which will be held with the support of the Bozcaada District Governorship and Bozcaada Municipality.
