TUDAV is celebrating 15th Year Anniversary

Turkish Marine Research Foundation (TUDAV) established in 1997 by a group of academicians, marine lawyers, nature and sea lovers, celebrated their 15th Anniversary on 17 November 2012, at İstanbul Lütfi Kırdar Convention & Exhibition Centre. Kürşad Tüzmen, Prof. Dr. Mümtaz Soysal, Oktay Sönmez, Orhan Başar, Asaf Ertan and people from marine science researches, marine sectors, people from non-governmental organizations and foreign missions joined for this memorable event. Ceremony started with a short TUDAV film and then Prof. Dr. Bayram Öztürk explained that “what TUDAV achieved during 15 years?”. “15th year TUDAV Achievement Awards” were given to the contributors to the sea and TÜDAV “Kürşad Tüzmen, Prof. Dr. Kasım Cemal Güven, Oktay Başar, Asaf Ertan, Şükrü Genç, Atilla Silahtaroğlu, Mehmet Kemerli, Gündüz Albay, Oktay Sönmez and Prof. Dr. Jon Van Dyke”.
