Prof. Bayram ÖZTÜRK, PhD.
He was born in 1960, on the Black Sea coast of Turkey. After he got Ph.D. on Marine Biology from the Institute of Marine Sciences, Istanbul University, in 1990, he has been studying on fishery science, marine conservation and biological oceanography in various seas and oceans in the world. He is Founder and Director of Turkish Marine Research Foundation, and currently Editor for the Journal of Black Sea and Mediterranean Environment. He has published four books and over 100 papers on fisheries, marine biology and ecology.

Assoc. Prof. Bülent TOPALOĞLU, PhD.
He was born in 1965 in Trabzon. After he got Ph.D. on Marine Biology from the Institute of Marine Sciences, Istanbul University, in 1999, he has been studying on Marine Biology, Benthic ecology and Sponge taxonomy. He is member of Turkish Marine Research Foundation since establishment and General Secretary since 2000. He has published various papers on marine biology, benthic ecology and sponge taxonomy.

Assoc. Prof. Arda M. TONAY, PhD.
He was born in 1976 in Istanbul. He graduated from Istanbul University in 1999 with a degree in fisheries engineering and completed his MSc and PhD in marine biology programme at the Institute of Science, Istanbul University, in 2010. Arda worked as a research assistant at the Marine Biology Department, Faculty of Fisheries, at Istanbul University between 2001 and 2015 and an assistant professor between 2015 December-2018 April. He works an associate professor at the same department since 2018 May. He is mostly focused on marine mammals and he is national contact person of European Cetacean Society (ECS).

Assoc. Prof. Nur Eda TOPÇU ERYALÇIN, PhD.
She was born in 1981 in İstanbul. After graduating from Saint-Joseph College, she received her Bachelor’s degree in the field of biology and environment at Université de Bretagne Occidentale. She began a master’s degree program at European Institute of Marine Studies (Bretagne) but pursued and earned it in Centre d’Océanologie de Marseille in order to study the Mediterranean Sea. After returning to Turkey in 2006, she became acquainted with TUDAV and began a PhD study on octocorals of the Sea of Marmara at Istanbul University. She now continues her research mainly focused on corals at Istanbul University, Faculty of Aquatic Sciences, where she works as an associate professor.

Selin Gamze SÜMEN, MD.
She was born in Ankara in 1967. She graduated from Cerrahpasa School of Medicine at the University of Istanbul in 1991. She worked as a general practitioner for three years prior to her residency at University of Istanbul, Underwater and Hyperbaric Medicine Department. In 1997, She has completed her residency training and graduated from the university as a diving and hyperbaric physician. She gained a lot of experience in her professional life in Russia and Sweden. Since 2013, she works as a consulting physician at the underwater and hyperbaric medicine department at University of Health Science, Kartal Dr. Lutfi Kirdar Research and Training Hospital. She has been providing her diving and medical expertise in various projects. She is an active member of the medical commission of CMAS ( the world underwater activities confederation), European Underwater & Baromedical Society, Turkish National Medical Rescue Team, Turkish Underwater Sports Federation and she is…
